Sunglasses are an important part of our everyday necessary eye protection as we encounter harmful UV light from the sun as well as the dangerous glare that can distort our vision. With literally thousands of sunglass options, how do we select that perfect frame and lens? Do we base it on cost alone? What about style and protection? What sort of activity are you engaging in when protection or just plan fashion is desired? With several brands of sunglasses, all of these questions can be answered and with the abundant selection of different color lenses, there are many options including customizing your own pair.
I am the sports enthusiast that owns a whole bunch of sports lenses and for that great stroll in the park some casual sunglasses also. I always seek value in a premium glass lens for casual wear and nice poly lenses for athletics. And now I really have a special interest in optimum eyewear and only look for the best sunglass frame and lens available for the activity. How will you select your sunglasses?
Select from frames that are flexible sport tips, wraparound, wire, metal, and others. Several companies have many different frames to choose from that will meet your expectations. I would suggest black Oakley sunglass sports frames that are lightweight and flexible for outdoor activities such as biking, hiking, and skiing. How about flexible frames with interchangeable lenses? This is what I like most about today’s sports glasses. I can pick the lens to match the clouds. And, keep using the same sunglass frame.
How about using a nice rose or amber-tinted lens for that cloudy day? This lens has always been my favorite. I can actually wear it on sunny days in addition to cloudy days and it really crystallizes my vision. Yes, I actually see much better with this lens. For everyday wear, I choose the bronze or brown lens. This is the best overall lens for every lighting condition in my opinion. In the sun it is awesome and if it clouds up you can still see really well. The grey or dark lens as I call it is great for sunny days only. If it clouds up or you are in the shade it seems much harder to see. And, in the sun I do not see as well as I do with the bronze lens. Finally, a clear lens could be used for athletic protection from the wind where UV shielding is not necessary.
What if you are not a sports enthusiast and you just want good sunglasses? Well, I would suggest getting a pair of fashion frames with a grey or bronze glass lens. You can choose from wire, metal, or plastic frames. And a whole variety of styles available you are sure to find the best looking pair of sunglasses for your lifestyle. Keep in mind that frame size also should be considered in your selection process. You should select frames that fit your face. Make sure that you get good help to proportionally size the sunglasses to your face. A good color analysis session will also help in style and color selection.

Premium sunglasses are worn by many of the world’s top athletes and continue to be the top choice in sports lenses. Many professional athletes wear sunglasses that are custom made for their baseball team colors. There is also a signature series brands named after top athletes like Lance Armstrong. You will also see many Olympic athletes competing in Beijing wearing premier sunglasses.
While other designers or brand name sunglasses emphasize fashion over optics most premier sunglasses are different. Want a superb sunglass lens with optimum smudge-resistant and repelling barriers? What about a pair of black Oakley sunglasses? Investigate many brands and shop with help from others for proper look and fit. Finally, do not be afraid to spend good money on your selection. Good money spent on great sunglasses will go a long way. I would suggest that you spend $150.00-$300.00 for a good quality product.
